The construction works for the Alporchinhos Pumping Station and the Alporchinhos-Porches Pumping Pipeline, in the municipality of Lago, will start tomorrow, January 4th, and will lead to the cut of an access to the M530-1 road, which connects Porches to Armação de Pêra .
According to the Câmara de Lagoa, the cut is intended to «reduce the risks arising from the work in progress, after identifying the dangers and assessing the probability of an accident occurring».
The installation of the water supply pipes along the carriageway of the M530-1 Porches/Armação road will be done through the 'traditional trenching method, which consists of cutting and removing pavement, excavation, laying pipe, backfill and compaction'.
Therefore, the City Council draws the attention of all motorists and pedestrians to the existing signage, asking them to “the necessary precaution, understanding and collaboration”.
