The Council of Albufeira decided, on January 17th, to give the municipality's Parish Councils 533.346 euros, divided by four, for "small works", such as the replacement of urban furniture, when it is not under concession, and repairs in the public place.

The parishes of Albufeira and Olhos de Água receive the most (152.796 euros), followed by Ferreiras, with 133.325 euros, Guia (128.419 euros) and Paderne, which will receive 118.806 euros.

This amount will also be used for «maintenance of gutters and sinks or for the management and current maintenance of fairs and markets», explains the municipality of Albufeirense.

Added to this are «small repairs in educational establishments at the level of pre-school and the first cycle of basic education, as well as the respective maintenance of the surrounding spaces», adds this entity.

The executive led by Carlos Silva e Sousa defined the amounts to be transferred, in accordance with the forecasts under the «Great 2017-2020 Plan Options» and the municipality's budget for 2017.
