The two places where most contributions were registered were Jumbo, from the Algarve Forum, in Faro, and the Continent of Portimão. Of the 131 tons of food collected in 140 stores, Nuno Cabrita Alves explained to our newspaper that “half is divided between pasta, rice and milk”.

As for the volunteers, whose estimate was between 1800 and 2000 throughout the Algarve, «there were no major failures». Despite not having met expectations, this food collection campaign «collected more» than the one that the Food Bank carried out in the spring, in which 125 tons of food were collected.
