Artificial snow on the street, discounts at local stores, and even a parade of Christmas figures. These were some of the activities of the «White Friday», which took place yesterday, December 7th, in Loulé, after being delayed due to bad weather.
Even so, this initiative, which should have taken place last Friday, December 2, has not lost the name “Friday” (Friday in English), even though it took place… on a Wednesday.
The lots of artificial snow that fell, either in Praça da República or Rua 5 de Outubro, known as Rua das Lojas, was the delight of the children, as well as the «Aldeia dos Sonhos», where you can find an ice rink or a Ferris wheel.
In some cafes and bars, it was also possible to participate in the "Christmas Sweaters Meeting", in which, whoever wanted, could deposit toys, clothes or food in boxes, which will then be delivered to charity institutions.
