The fountain of Largo do Pé da Cruz, in Faro, will reopen on December 23, at 18 pm, after the restoration and restoration work of its light source, which cost 00 euros, and which will bring «light and colors» to «this beautiful area of the city».
These works included cleaning, repairing, waterproofing and painting the tank, replacing all the piping and introducing a central rotating water jet, two foam jets on the tops and 60 parabolic jets, placed around the fountain.
On the outside, the original tiles were recovered and the metal border between the grass and the sidewalk in the central square of Largo do Pé da Cruz was eliminated.
“Efficiency was taken into account in these works. As a result, all equipment installed is of low consumption and the water jets will be illuminated with projectors ice, with the possibility of changing colors», explains the Chamber of Faro.
This project is part of the «Faro Requalifica 2», a plan of interventions «designed by the municipality to enhance the municipality's public space, restoring comfort, aesthetics and safety», concludes the Faro local authority.
