A young man suspected of stealing from homes, shops and vehicles was detained by the PSP of Portimão in the early hours of this Thursday.
Elements of the Criminal Investigation Squad of Portimão had been investigating these crimes for about a month and yesterday they set up an operation that allowed them to surprise the assailant when he was inside a garage "in possession of various items in gold and electronic equipment".
The man "is associated with 15 robberies", in which he broke down doors, "causing considerable damage, in addition to the goods he stole".
The investigation also made it possible to identify “a large part of the victims” and return the goods that were stolen and in the meantime recovered.
The 19-year-old detainee will await trial in preventive detention.
