The «Theatre Group of the Oppressed – Pedra no Sapato» will be at Fissul's Auditorium, in Silves, on Friday and Saturday, as a guest of another session of the Noites Al Teatro. On Friday, the Lisbon theater company will present the play «O Dia de…», followed by a forum theater workshop on Saturday.
The show «O Dia de…» started from the «obligation for schools to celebrate festive days (such as Mother's and Father's Day, Christmas and Halloween)». The play "seeks to dialogue with the audience and encourage them to represent their proposals to change the situation portrayed", in addition to "putting into debate the current family and social contexts and tradition/religion", according to Al Teatro, which organizes this show hosting cycle.
The following day, Ana Baião, member of Grupo Pedra no Sapato, will lead a forum theater workshop, for all interested parties, from 10:00 am to 13:00 pm and from 14:00 pm to 17:00 pm. «The workshop will consist of a brief theoretical approach and a practical component full of theatrical games and exploration of the aesthetic language: word, sound and image», according to the Silves theater company.
The cycle Noites AL Teatro is financed by the Ministry of Culture / General Directorate of Arts and the Municipality of Silves.
