The women of Castro Marim will have the opportunity to learn how to defend themselves at a self-defense workshop that the Chamber will promote on 26 November, the International Day of Non-Violence Against Women, at the José Guilhermino Municipal Pavilion, between 10:00 and 12:30.
The workshop is free and open to all women who want to participate. There will, however, be a limit to the number of participants, so you must register by calling 913 090 691 or by emailing [email protected].
The main objective of the initiative is “to empower the participants with the necessary and sufficient tools to defend their physical integrity, in order to prevent delicate and/or threatening situations”.
The event is organized by the Algarve Self Defense Association – Sistema Elite DP, and by the Leões do Sul Futebol Club, from São Bartolomeu do Sul (Castro Marim), with the support of the Castro Marim City Council, Ju-Jitsu Federation and Associated Disciplines of Portugal and APAV (Portuguese Association for Victim Support).
