Contemporary Jewelry ExhibitionThe exhibition «Synopsis», by Margaret Jackson, which has contemporary jewelery as its theme, will be inaugurated on November 15th, at 17 pm, and will be on display until December 00st at the Loulé Museum.

These pieces are «inspired by the art and artefacts of the Algarve» and are «a synthesis of my experience and the learning of new techniques for working metal, used in contemporary jewelry», according to the exhibition's author.

The pieces presented in this exhibition result from the work developed at “Pontos Iguais” – Contemporary Jewelery Gallery and Workshops (Faro), under the direction of the master Filomeno Pereira de Sousa and who has been attending for three years.

«Casket 1» was born out of experiments with the «metal marriage» technique (silver and copper) and inspired by the sculptures of José Pedro Croft, who investigates structures and explores perspective. The «games» series arises from the observation of artefacts exhibited in this Museum – «interesting game pieces, dated between the XNUMXth and XNUMXth centuries and found in the region of Salir», says the Câmara de Loulé.

«The Museum of Loulé is a beautiful exhibition space where it is possible to observe everyday objects that time and human use have marked in such an intriguing and indelible way», explains the author.

The exhibition can be visited from Tuesday to Friday, from 9:30 am to 17:30 pm, and on Saturdays, from 9:30 am to 16:00 pm. Admission is free.
