The Chamber of Faro and the Algfuturo association will take advantage of the visit of the National Football Team to the Algarve Stadium to honor the European Champions.
The distinction will be made during the conference «Portugal pulling for Portugal», which will have as speaker Fernando Gomes, president of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF).
"Seizing the opportunity, in the person of the FPF president, tribute will be paid to the entire federation, selector, players, technical team and other professionals involved, who made Portugal's dream of being European Champion of Football a reality", according to the Chamber of Faro.
The initiative during which this recognition will be given is scheduled for Saturday, at 17:30 pm, at the Salão Nobre dos Paços do Concelho de Faro. Fernando Gomes will deliver a lecture on the theme «Portugal Pulling for Portugal: Impact of the FPF's role in youth, tourism and the national economy».
The ceremony takes place the day before Portugal play Latvia in a qualifying game for the 2018 World Cup, which is scheduled for Sunday, at 19:45, at the Estádio Algarve.
