The «Old Fashion Defoliation» will be revived at the Museu do Trajo de São Brás de Alportel, on Saturday, at 20 pm. The São Brasense cultural space once again promotes a moment of conviviality inspired by this ancestral practice, which celebrated the end of the harvest season and was a way of strengthening ties between members of the same community.
The population is challenged to appear and "to live this moment of joy and sharing in the first person", according to the City Council of São Brás de Alportel, which supports the Parish Council of São Brás de Alportel and Rancho Típico Sambrasense in holding the event, that goes to the 7th edition.
Saturday night, at the Museu do Trajo, will be animated by «songs, aromas and flavors of the past, as well as typical costumes from the harvest season».
