About the book:

This is the first work of its kind in Portuguese on the OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Exam) methodology and aims to prepare current and future students as well as all physicians for the practice of clinical skills acquired throughout their academic career. Despite the OSCE being an assessment methodology widely used in Anglo-Saxon countries, it is still little applied in Portugal, so this release intends to contribute to its wide use in Portuguese medical teaching institutions.

«In addition to the practical aspects, what most seduced me, as a professor of Medicine and tutor of Pathological Anatomy interns, in the work of the more than one hundred professionals who accompanied Dr. Luís Castelo-Branco on this true adventure, was the ability to distinguish the essential the accessory (and having the courage to include communication in the essential side) and the dismay with which the issue of teaching clinical skills is addressed throughout the book», says Manuel Sobrinho Simões in the book's afterword.
