The composer and pianist Rui Massena will perform on the 1st of October, at 21 pm, at the Cineteatro Louletano and present his new album “Ensemble”, which has already reached the top of national sales.
As the Chamber of Loulé illustrated, «it is no longer unreasonable to use the term “phenomenon” to describe what has happened to Rui Massena and his music». The Portuguese musician managed to make a record of classical music a sales success and fill the Casa da Música, in Porto, and the Centro Cultural de Belém, in Lisbon, in concerts to present the record he promoted there.
«An absolutely unprecedented feat for a record coming from the area currently known as “Modern Classical”», assures the Câmara de Loulé.
After Lisbon and Porto, Rui Massena is presenting his latest work in various parts of the country, accompanied by a string orchestra. And expectations, at least on the part of the Loulé autarchy, are high.
«The stage triumphs of this exceptional artist, whose music seems to arouse the deepest emotions in his audience, have been unmistakable and demonstrated that there is a very strong and special connection between this music and its audience. It will be this strength, this singular connection, that these concerts will live, with moments of absolute beauty punctuating shows that are expected to be unmissable», believes the Câmara de Loulé.
The ticket for the show costs 20 euros, for the general public. Children under 30 and over 65 will only have to pay 18 euros. The Cine-Teatro Friend Card is applicable to this event.
