Who wants to visit the Algar do Penico cave? The company Quimera Experience and Associação Geonauta are organizing an event to explore this cave, in the Parragil area, in Loulé, on 16 October.
To participate, all you have to do is have good physical capacity and not suffer from claustrophobia…and pay the registration, of course.
The monitors will be Carlos Oliveira, Cristiano Cavaco, Susana Meireles, José Ribeiro and Márcia Grosso, all certified with courses by the Portuguese Speleology Federation.
There are two meeting points for those who want to participate in this initiative: at Parragil, at 9:00 am, in this place, or in Portimão, at 8:00 am, in this place.
The depth of the cave to be explored is 12 meters, and ropes will be used both for descending and climbing.
The estimated duration of the visit is 3 to 4 hours. The recommendations given to those who participate in this initiative relate to the use of comfortable clothing, gloves and accessories to hold your hair, for those who need it. It is also recommended to bring water and food.
The Geonaut Association provides the necessary equipment for the activity, both individual and collective.
Registration to participate in this initiative must be made until October 9th, sending an email to [email protected]. Participation costs 20 euros, with insurance, and 30 euros, also with insurance and with transfer since Portimão.
There is also the possibility of having lunch at the Adiafa Restaurant, in Boliqueime, which is optional and not included in the price.
