Portimonense beat FC Porto B by 3-0, in a game counting for the 9th round of the II League played in Portimão, this Wednesday. The Algarvians once again showed good football and excited their fans, in what was the seventh victory in the championship, where the Portimão emblem continues unbeaten.
The first goal of the game came right after 45 minutes, despite Portimonense having created some chances beforehand. The goal was the inevitable Pires.
At 52 minutes, the home team benefited from a penalty and Ricardo Pessoa, this time, didn't waste it and put his team to win 2-0. Since the beginning of the championship, Portimonense had not yet managed to convert any of the penalties from which it benefited. The third goal of Portimonense was scored by Stanley in the 89th minute.
This result allows Portimonense to return to 1st place in the II League, with 22 points added, although it could be overthrown by Santa Clara, who has a game in delay, which will play on 9 October, and only one point less.
