Poster_CinemaPortuguesEmMovimento_SBAPortuguese cinema will tour the villages of São Brás de Alportel between 8 and 11 September, where some of the greatest national cinematographic productions of 2014/2015 will be shown. The circuit starts in São Romão, stops in Parises, passes by Jardim da Verbena, in São Brás, and ends in Alportel.

The initiative, which is part of the “Cinema Português em Movimento” program, promoted by the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual (ICA), is taking place in various parts of the country and, as explained by the City Council of São Brás de Alportel, «aimed at creating an offer that does not exist in those places and offer the population the opportunity to view some of the most recent and recognized cinematographic works of national production».

ãoThe comedy “Capitão Falcão”, signed by João Leitão, marks the beginning of this cycle with a session in the churchyard of São Romão Church, this Thursday, 8 September.

The renovated “O Pátio das Cantigas”, directed by Leonel Vieira, will be shown on Friday, the 9th, at the churchyard in Parises and, on the following day, Saturday, it is the turn of Luís Filipe Rocha's drama, “Cinzento e Negro” to be shown at Jardim da Verbena.

It is on this day and place that the closing session of the 4th edition of “Cinema Português em Movimento” will take place, with the presence of director Luís Filipe Rocha, producer Luís Galvão Teles and vice president of ICA, Ana Costa Dias.

The last movie session will take place on Sunday, the 11th, at Parque do Alportel, with the film “Os Gatos não tem Vertigens”, by António-Pedro Vasconcelos.

The sessions are all free and start at 21:15 pm. The exhibitions are preceded by an animated short film inspired by the work of Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro, written by students of the degree in Multimedia Art at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon, to mark the celebration of the 170th anniversary of the birth of the Portuguese artist .
