The exhibition “Oceanus”, by Maria Liberia Matos, will be on display at the Praça do Mar Gallery, in Quarteira, between August 11th – opening at 19 pm – and September 00th.
During the month of August, the exhibition can be visited from 15:00 pm to 19:00 pm and from 20:00 pm to 23:00 pm. From September onwards, the opening hours will be from 9:30 am to 13:30 pm and from 15:00 pm to 18:00 pm.
According to the Loulé Council, Maria Liberia Matos «nthe long walks she takes by the sea, she picks up fragments that the sea leaves in the sand that touch her in a special way due to the beauty of the colors, shapes and textures”.
And he concludes that these are «the inspiring elements in the production of each of his pieces that are built step by step, without haste, in the search for the desired perfection».
Each piece that she creates, according to the author, “is the extension of nature itself to the secret world of each one”.
