selvesJailhouse Rock, Don't be Cruel, I Got a Woman, Always On My Mind these are some of the themes, among many others, that will be performed by the Orquestra de Jazz do Algarve & Selvis Prestley in the three concerts «Jazz n'Roll», in homage to Elvis Presley.

Elvis Presley is the King of Rock, a deserved title in the style that had just been started by Chuck Berry. Rock & Roll thus replaced traditional Jazz in entertainment, as Jazz followed other paths after the 40s.

Two of Elvis' most iconic concerts are those in Las Vegas, in 1970, and in Hawaii, in 1973 – the first concert in the world to be broadcast via satellite.

It is in the inspiration of these concerts that the Orquestra de Jazz do Algarve invites Elvis, sorry, Selvis Prestley, to relive an artist and his career, which everyone plays, even today.

The Algarve thus receives three concerts, all starting at 22 pm: on the 00th of August, at Praça do Mar, in Quarteira, on the 12th, at the Palco da Doca, in Faro, and on the 15th of August, at Praia do Carvoeiro, in Lagoa.

This last concert, which marks the end of the mini tour, will also feature a synchronized fireworks show.
