2014-08-12 - FM day 12 Ana Moura and Cuca Roseta (26 of 30)Fado singer Ana Moura will give two concerts in the space of a week in the Algarve: the first is already this Saturday, August 27th, at Fatacil, in Lagoa, while for September 2 the show is reserved at Festival F, in Faro. In both promises to "dance the fado".

In an interview with Sul Informação, Ana Moura confessed to having “great expectations” for these shows: “the Algarve public has received me very well. Right at the beginning of this tourOn Faro, at Teatro das Figuras, in April, I had to do three consecutive concerts because they were always selling out and the only reason we didn't do a fourth because there was no date. I have the expectation that they will receive me with the same affection that is already common».

Both the Fatacil concert and the F Festival concert will be outdoors. This environment is, for Ana Moura, «more inviting» and, therefore, more in line with the fado singer's music style. “An open-air concert is more festive, more busy. It invites people to dance and this is the message I want to convey: fado has been increasingly related to sad music and it is necessary to rescue the idea, from the XNUMXth century, that fado can be danced», he explains.

The alignment of both concerts can be different, since, confesses Ana Moura, “the fact that we are always on the road means that constant changes have to be made”. Even so, the fado singer is certain: the repertoire will focus, in both shows, on the new album “Moura”, which is already double platinum, without ever forgetting the most popular themes.

In addition to winning the Golden Globe, this year, in the “Best Music” category, with “Dia de Folga”, Ana Moura has already sung in countries as varied as Italy, France, England or the United States of America. For the fado singer, feeling that her work is being recognized is «an enormous pride». And he adds: "the power that music has in people's lives, making them happier, is incredible."

For those who still do not plan to see any – or even both – of Ana Moura's concerts in the Algarve, the fado singer invites: «come and see a new perspective of fado and a fado singer on stage, without a taciturn, sad and nostalgic image ».

Tickets for Fatacil can be purchased here and cost 3,50 euros. For Festival F, tickets can be purchased here and cost 15 euros.
