Many Spanish bikers headed this weekend to Faro to participate in International Motorcycle Concentration, but two of them had a different mission: to participate in policing the event.
Equipped with their Honda 750cc, two elements of the Spanish National Police Corps collaborated with the PSP of Faro in the various police actions and even spearheaded the parade, on Sunday.
In addition to the two policemen-bikers Spanish, the PSP Command of Faro received, during the Motard Concentration, the visit of the Police Commander of Newark, the city with the largest Portuguese community in the United States.
Captain Anthony Campos, Portuguese-American, «who still speaks almost perfect Portuguese, along with his brilliant police career, is a great motorcycle enthusiast and fulfilled one of his life's dreams: participating in the motorbike concentration of Faro», revealed the PSP in a statement.
About the event, the District Command of Faro he says that "in the four days of the concentration, as has been happening in recent years, there were no problems of public order in the city and the number of accidents did not increase".
According to the police, «these good results are the result of an enormous teamwork of all involved, Moto Clube de Faro, City Council and Police and Civil Protection Forces, but mainly of the civic behavior that all motorcyclists who participate in the event have assumed».
