More than 18 thousand motorcycles and about 30 thousand people were in Faro from the 14th to the 17th of July to participate in the 35th Concentration of the Motoclube de Faro.
The adhesion exceeded the expectations of the organization, which makes a «very positive» balance of this year's edition of the event, not only because of what happened at the venue, but also because of the return it gave to the city, with «Baixa de Faro filling up with people for four days».
One day after the event, the president of Motoclube Farense Zé Amaro spoke with the Sul Informação and highlighted the arrival of more people than expected. One of the highlights was the concert by the Portuguese fado singer Carminho, an unprecedented bet on a concert by Faro which had "great success".
"In the days before the concentration, there were many people asking for information about this concert, so I believe it contributed to more people coming", revealed Zé Amaro.
And the first experience with a fado concert, in concentration, couldn't have been better. «People, Portuguese and foreigners, liked it a lot and there were those who came to congratulate us on the bet. Fado is a Portuguese musical style, which is a heritage of humanity, in which we are very proud», said the president of Motoclube de Faro.
As usual, after four days of celebration, the bikers who participated in the concentration said goodbye with a parade through the streets of the Algarve capital. And there was no lack of imagination and good disposition (see the video), as shown by the images that the Sul Informação caught.
