Café Aliança, in the center of Faro, will reopen its revolving door on July 30th, found the Sul Informação. The space, which re-emerges as a Portuguese brewery, promises to enliven memories of the old Alliance, but with a new concept.
The walls display photos of various personalities who visited the oldest café in Faro, and one of the oldest in the country, and are also a historical testimony of the Algarve capital, with images from other times in the city.
In the new concept of Portuguese brewery, «we work with two or three products: steaks, beer and fries. this is the tripod on which the brewery concept is based'”, he revealed to the Sul Informação Mário Nogueira, responsible for the Rebirth of the Alliance.
«We took care to maintain the whole image that the café has kept since its construction. It continues to show its value, in its ceilings, in its entablatures and in the various details that define it as a special space», added Mário Nogueira.
To be the «Heart of Faro» is the objective of the space, which wants to have «a good weight in the area of dissemination of poetry, music, from jazz to popular music».
Mário Nogueira wants Aliança once again to be «a great meeting point for several generations in the city, with different cultural trends. Let football, fado, jazz, poetry pass, where lectures are given, a living space where generations intersect».
