The Portuguese rider of the Algarve team Parkalgar Racing Team suffered no injuries, but the bike had to go to the pit to repair some damage, namely in the left lever.
Despite the quick work of Parkalgar mechanics, long minutes were consumed in the repair. When he returned to the track, Miguel Oliveira had dropped from 9th to 20th position.
The despondency was reflected in his face and also in the face of Paulo Pinheiro, the director of the Parkalgar Racing team. For his part, Miguel Praia tried to cheer up his teammate.
The crash took place when there were still about three and a half hours to the end of the race and, although some recovery is expected again, it must be difficult for the Portuguese team to return to the top10.
