After the Revista à Portuguesa, Sociedade Recreativa Bordeirense went out into the street to animate several places in the Algarve with its Popular Marches. The month of the Popular March of the association from Farense began on Saturday and will go through several parties until the end of the month.
On Saturday, there is a march at Pontinha, in Faro, and in Quelfes, in the municipality of Olhão. On the 23rd of June the SRB will pass in Armação de Pêra, the 24th will be in Montenegro and São Bartolomeu de Messines and on the 25th they will return to their county, to act in Faro and in Conception. On the 29th of June, the Bordeirenses march in Albufeira and, on the last day of June, they perform at Largo da Sé de Faro.
«The Marcha de Bordeira was the first Algarvian March to parade on Avenida da Liberdade [in Lisbon]. There are now, all over the Algarve, performances with new choreographies, new costumes, new music, but always with the same joy and enthusiasm so characteristic of the Algarve countryside«, according to SBR.
In addition to the March performances, the Sociedade Bordeirense maintains throughout the month of June the usual “Bordeira a Caminhar” walks, which always take place on Thursdays, at 20:30, and challenge participants to walk between 5 and 10 kilometers, departing from the company's headquarters.
