Miguel Oliveira and Miguel Praia 2The great difficulty that the duo of Miguéis, Oliveira and Praia, will encounter in the World Endurance race to be held on 10 and 11 June at the Autódromo do Algarve, is the fact that both are drivers "accustomed to sprint races".

“I think the big difficulty will be the fact that we, riders who are used to sprint races, have to do around six races within the same race – with 12 hours duration –. This makes it all very interesting also in the sense that we will have to adapt to an endurance race – and fortunately we have Matthieu's experience to help us understand how to tackle this challenge». said Miguel Praia, at a press conference.

Miguel Oliveira, who is in a good moment of form, as demonstrated by the 8th place achieved in Montmeló (Barcelona) in the seventh race of the Moto2 world championship, «there are several difficulties: the circuit has a lot of hard braking and demands a lot from the physical. in that aspect. At the same time, there are a lot of blind turns and all this, together with the physical and psychological fatigue, will make the obstacle even greater. The track also has some bumps and the decrease in tire grip will make driving even more demanding, but all together it will make the race even more interesting, with many details that will be very important».

"I'm really anxious to find out how it is, because it's a type of pace I'm not at all used to and I'll have to calm down a bit to get into endurance mode," added Miguel Oliveira.

Despite the difficulties that they foresee, the pilots of the Algarve team are prepare hard, not least because your goal is to win the Portuguese event of the World Endurance.

The second race of the World Endurance Championship, the 12 Hours of Portimão, takes place on the 10th and 11th of June at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, in Portimão. In addition to the emotions of the race itself - with emphasis on the trio of drivers from the Portuguese Parkalgar Racing Team, captained by Miguel Oliveira -, the organization promises fun for the whole family.
