Albufeira will launch free time occupation programs during the summer holidays, for children and young people. The initiatives start this month and last until August.
From the 29th of June until the 12th of August, the Lidia Jorge Municipal Library will host different activities for children over 6 years old, namely the workshops: Come Paint with Creativity; Abracadabra & The Mysteries of Magic; Living the Emotions with Yoga; Will being a Friend of Nature be a Wealth? Come Discover; Mini Chefs of Cooking; Adventures with 4-legged Friends; Mysterious Stories or Wonderful Stories? Come Discover; Shuffle & Mix for a New Story Create & Represent; Come Recycle & Create Art; and Cinema Session Pipoca.
Registration for these activities began this Tuesday and can still be made in the Children's and Youth sector of the Albufeira Library. Each workshop has a limit of 16 participants.
Young people between 11 and 18 years old will also have a tailored program, which includes cultural and leisure visits, inflatables, sailing and canoeing, radical activities, freestyle dancing and trips to the beach, among others.
In this case, interested parties must register by the 17th of June at the Albufeira Youth Office (Municipal Swimming Pools), from 10:00 am to 18:00 pm, or at the Parish Councils of the municipality (except for Albufeira), between 10:00 am and at 17:00 pm.
Another suggestion from the municipality of Albufeirense is the “Education in Summer” program, which provides for the holding of five fields of sporting and cultural activities, to run from 20 June to 26 August.
