The new councilor Sara Coelho took office yesterday, at the Chamber Meeting, following the resignation of the mandate of councilor Maria Fernanda Afonso. Personal reasons led to the request for resignation, which had been filed on 12 April.
Sara Maria Horta Nogueira Coelho is the citizen immediately following in the order of the list definitively admitted to the City Council of Lagos, by the Socialist Party.
The new councilor took office at the beginning of the public meeting, being responsible for the areas of Culture and Tourism, Historical and Cultural Heritage, Youth and Education, Social Housing, Health and Social Action, Toponymy, SIADAP Implementation, Training, Municipal Archives, Consumer Protection , Contracts and Municipal Office and Quality Processes.
Sara Maria Horta Nogueira Coelho, born on March 21, 1971, has a degree in Psychology, in the area of Work and Organizations, from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra, in 1995.
In 2014, he completed with merit a specialization course in Business Management at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Algarve.
Between 1990 and 1991, he worked as a teacher in the 2nd and 3rd cycles of Basic Education. Between 1996 and 1997, he worked at Caixa Geral de Depósitos, in Lagos and Lisbon. She joined the IEFP in May 1997, as a Professional Guidance Counselor, at the Lagos Employment Centre.
She was Municipal Deputy of the Municipal Assembly of Lagos, elected by the PS for the 2009-2013 mandate.
As of August 1, 2012, with the organic restructuring of the IEFP, he began to work at the Employment and Professional Training Center of Barlavento, in Portimão. In February 2016, she was appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the same Employment Centre.
