The Ribeira de Odeleite, in the municipality of Castro Marim, will once again be the stage for the celebrations of “Workers' Day”. The party starts at 10:00 am, with the “Florida Village” contest and the “Maios” exhibition and continues throughout the day.
«Vivid and colorful flowers, displayed in the courtyards and windows of the houses, and the dolls that celebrate the arrival of spring, enliven the village that hosts the Labor Day celebrations», explains the Chamber of Castro Marim.
The municipality promises “a day full of entertainment and lots of music, against the backdrop of the natural landscape of this village in the northeast of the Algarve”.
At midday the traditional sardine starts, accompanied by bread and red wine. The musical entertainment starts after lunch, with a dance by “Ana and Edgar”, the performance of the ethnographic ranch “Amendoeiras em Flor” and, at 18:00, there will be a show by the Brazilian artist “Marcus”.
Slides, canoeing and inflatables for the little ones, and a small market, with local and regional crafts and sweets, enrich the celebrations.
The “Worker's Day” is organized by the Social Association of the Parish of Odeleite and has the support of the respective Parish Council and the Municipality of Castro Marim.
