Jorge Palma will take the stage at the Cine-Teatro Louletano, on May 4th, at 21 pm, accompanied by the Banda Filarmónica Artistas de Minerva. This unprecedented show will mark the beginning of the new cycle «O Longe é Aqui», idealized by the Loulé Chamber.
«In the year that the Artistas de Minerva Philharmonic Band celebrates its 140th anniversary, the Cine-Teatro Louletano challenges it to take the stage with Jorge Palma and his acoustic trio for a concert that is expected to be surprising and remarkable, revisiting and reinventing the repertoire of one of the most unavoidable names in the Portuguese music scene», illustrated the Loulé autarchy.
In voice, piano and guitar will be Jorge Palma and Vicente Palma, his son, accompanied by Gabriel Gomes on accordion (ex-Madredeus and ex-Sétima Legião). The artistic direction of the Banda Filarmónica is the responsibility of José Branco, with arrangements by Maestro Lino Guerreiro.
The cycle of shows «O Longe é Aqui» aims to «launch and promote, annually, creative challenges that allow unprecedented encounters between, on the one hand, recognized figures/projects at national level in the areas of music, dance, theater and others, and, on the other, cultural groups/associations (and even the community in general) from the Municipality of Loulé».
Tickets for this show cost 6 euros for adults over 65 and under 30 and 8 euros for the rest of the audience
«The Cine-Teatro Louletano has also had, since April this year, a Friend Card that, upon payment of an annual fee of 9 euros, gives a 40% discount on access to the shows that are part of its regular programming, in the which also includes this concert with Jorge Palma and the Banda Filarmónica”, recalled the Chamber.
