Portimonense drew this afternoon with Penafiel 1-1, at home, but kept the 3rd place in the II League, which gives access to the promotion of Division. The Algarvian team went to half-time at a disadvantage, tied in the second half, but failed to complete the turnaround in the marker and did not take advantage of the tie between Famalicão and Freamunde, two direct opponents in the fight for promotion.

The first goal of the game came in added time in the first half through Gonçalo Abreu who, in a free-kick, beat Ricardo Ferreira.

Portimonense reacted in the second half and, after a good opportunity for Zambujo in the 53rd minute, Ricardo Pessoa managed to score also with a free-kick.

The Algarvian team had chances to achieve victory, including a shot at the post by Fabrício in the 84th minute, but the result did not change until the end.

Portimonense's tie keeps the team in third place, as Freamunde and Famalicão drew XNUMX-XNUMX and didn't take advantage of the Algarve's “slip”. The advantage of alvinegros for these two teams is two points.
