«What if there was oil in the Serra? Can the EuroMillions of our municipality rest incognito under the cistus? Or do environmental and geological and seismic disturbance risks pose a danger that no value is worth? And when the world moves towards the use of clean energy from renewable sources, does it make sense to remain in the past?”
These are the starting points for the clarification session that the association Al-Portel and the Algarve Livre de Petróleo Platform are promoting, with the support of the Museu do Trajo Algarvio and the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel, on the 7th of May , at 15 pm, at the Museu do Trajo Algarvio, in that village.
"Because this is an urgent issue, at a time when the exploration of hydrocarbons (not only oil but also natural gas) in the Algarve is being discussed, and very close to us, it is important that as much information is made available", adds Al -Portel. The session is open to all interested parties.
