Cuckuu_Screens-and-Mascot1-1024x789A cuckoo was the only startup Portuguese selected to participate in the Millennial 20/20, in London, an entrepreneurship event that is taking place today and tomorrow.

According to co-founder João Jesus, quoted by the observer, will participate in the event «more than 3 thousand startups, brands, companies and retailers» and Cuckuu was one of the 35 startups chosen by Unilever (the multinational responsible for brands such as Lipton, Cif, Becel, Surf, Knorr) to participate in the Millennial 20/20.

“Unilever was looking for 35 companies capable of changing the way brands communicate. We were one of the 35. The idea is to show our product and explain how we can help the brands they have, which are many [more than 400, among which are Lipton, Knorr and Dove, for example], communicate with the millennials [people born between the late 70s and mid-90s]. [To] completely change the way they communicate,” John Jesus explained to the Observer.

For João Jesus, the presence at this event can be a good help for Cuckuu to get foreign investment. “We are looking for investment, of almost 2 and a half million euros, and if these [possible] investors see brands like Unilever interested in our app, if you choose us, that can be a good business card», he considers.
