The central area of Praia de Faro will have surveillance during the Easter period. The Farense Chamber reached an agreement with the Humanitarian Association of Lifeguards of Faro to guarantee the safety conditions during the mini-holidays, in this bathing area, much sought after by residents and visitors.
"Under the terms of the agreement, the assistance services for bathers are the responsibility of two lifeguards, duly accredited and members of the Humanitarian Association of Lifeguards of Faro, which will remain in the central area of Praia – between the entrance (bridge) and the area of the former Camping Park. The service will take place between Friday, March 25th, and Easter Sunday, March 27th, in two periods: 09:30 am to 12:00 pm and 14:00 pm to 17:30 pm», announced the Chamber of Faro.
Despite the presence of lifeguards, the municipality calls on bathers "to respect the safety rules at sea, making them aware of their natural dangers, not neglecting the precautions to be taken on the beaches".
