essential public servicesMário Frota, apDC – Portuguese Consumer Law Association, is one of the participants, next Monday, March 14, in the clarification session open to the public at the Albufeira Town Hall. Under the theme “The consumer and essential public services”, the initiative starts at 9:00 am. 

Ana Paula Contreiras, from the General Directorate of Consumers, will speak at 10:00 am on “Essential Public Services – Consumer Rights”, followed at 10:45 am by the presentation “Telephones, Internet, Television…dream or nightmare?”, by Mario Fleet.

At 11:45 am, Ana Luísa Azenha, from ANACOM – Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações, will speak on “The protection of the Consumer of Electronic Communications”.

The conference, which is opened and closed by the mayor of Albufeira Carlos Silva e Sousa, is promoted by the Municipal Information Center for Consumers, of that municipality, which provides consumers with a specialized service aimed at defending the rights of consumers.

The initiative is part of the commemorations of World Consumer Rights Day.
