monterosa-bottles-proof cardMonterosa extra virgin olive oil, produced in Moncarapacho, Algarve, took advantage of its presence as an exhibitor at SISAB Portugal – International Exhibition of the Food and Beverages Sector, at the beginning of March, to launch the new 2016 harvest on the market with a renewed image.

SISAB Portugal is considered an important business platform in the agri-food sector, being a space where Portuguese companies find important importers in the agri-food industry from the five continents. The event should be seen as an opportunity to initiate or reinforce the export side of companies.

The presence at this event was part of the company's strategy of betting on the dynamization and growth of export markets.

For 2016, Azeite Monterosa comes with a renewed image, and is now sold in a black silk-screened bottle with a new design. The bottle is completely opaque to protect the oil completely from light. "A constant perception of changes in the market and consumer tastes and preferences is essential to proactively be in line with new needs," said one of the company's directors.

To the already usual Maçanilha, Cobrançosa, Verdeal and Picual, this year is joined for the first time by the new single varietal Frantoio, which is originally a famous Italian variety that has been spreading throughout the whole olive-growing world.

In addition to single varietals, there is Selection, which is produced with a mixture of varieties selected by the Monterosa team's internal panel of tasters.

To find out more about this oil, you can visit the website www.monterosa-oliveoil.com or schedule a visit to the olive groves of Viveiros Monterosa and directly taste the oils in their mill in Moncarapacho.
