The requalification and enhancement works of Moinho de Odeceixe are nearing completion. The interventions promoted access to the mill, electrification, panoramic lighting and the creation of a system of walkways and a viewpoint.
The work cost 40 thousand euros to the Municipality's coffers and was carried out under the Contract for the Delegation of Competences established with the Parish Council of Odeceixe.
According to the Municipality of Aljezur, «the viewpoint provides a breathtaking view over the village, its floodplain and river».
The Parish Council is still planting strawberry trees and “aromatics” and the municipality says that “it will soon complete a short access to the viewpoint”.
According to the Aljezurense local authority, this is a «marking work for that town and for all those who increasingly choose Odeceixe, as a holiday destination throughout the year».
