The Parish Council of Portimão will once again promote blood glucose, cholesterol and blood pressure tests throughout the year in various local associations, in partnership with the Humanitarian Association of the Firefighters Volunteers of Portimão.
The first session is being held this Tuesday, at the Companheira Social Sports and Cultural Center, between 10:30 and 12:XNUMX.
This week, there will also be screenings at the Pedra Mourinha Sports and Recreation Club, on Thursday, and at the Porto de Lagos Sports and Recreation Club, on Saturday, the 6th, at the same time.
At the beginning of March, there are sessions in the other three locations that will host screenings, the Pensioners Association of Pontal e Não Só, the Chão das Donas Recreation Club and the Boavista Football Club (see calendar below).
The tests to be carried out aim to assess the health condition of the population, «alarming the importance of prevention, early diagnosis and the adoption of healthy lifestyles and behaviors», according to the Junta de Portimão.
