The Algarve Hotel and Tourism School, in Faro, is the first institution to receive the roadshow national of Lisbon Bar Show, the biggest national bar event scheduled for May 17th and 18th.
In partnership with Turismo de Portugal, the first session on «Techniques and Trends in the universes of Bar, Bartender and Cocktails», showing the great news in the sector and in the event, is scheduled for the next 16th of February, Tuesday. Monday, from 14:30 pm to 16:00 pm, with the presence of Francisco Guerreiro, president of the Barlavento Arade Bartenders Association, as guest speaker.
In this first quarter of the year, the Lisbon Bar Show will tour the Hotel and Tourism Schools, passing by Porto, Lisbon, Estoril, Coimbra and Faro, to present training on mixology and the art of serving well.
O roadshow it incorporates a strong message of responsibility and moderation to influence current and future hotel professionals, namely, by raising awareness of the “Beba com Cabeça” and “Forum Nacional Álcool e Saúde” initiatives.
In each of the hotel schools, two students will be selected who will be part of the group of Bartenders invited to prepare cocktails in the Tasting area, at the Lisbon Bar Show 2016.
This group of 10 Bartender Trainee will be coordinated by an internationally renowned Bartender, ensuring privileged access for these students to the backstage of the Lisbon Bar Show 2016.
«With this opportunity, students will also have direct and privileged contact with world-class speakers who will be present at the fair», stresses the organization.
