The Local Action Group, which will manage funds worth 4,7 million euros, earmarked for local development in the Barlavento Algarvio, signed three contracts in recent weeks for the management of Community-Based Local Development Strategies (CLLD) in this area of the Algarve. Algarve.
This process will be coordinated by Associação Vicentina, the managing entity of this LAG, which brings together public and private partners.
One of the contracts is intended to support Local Development Strategies in rural areas, in the municipalities of Portimão, Lagos, Silves, Monchique, Aljezur and Vila do Bispo. The other two contracts relate to initiatives in urban areas, namely in the neighborhoods of Lagos and Silves (Lagos Cidade 2020 and Silves Cidade 2020).
"Once this long phase of establishing partnerships, designing the strategy and allocating funding to the EDLs has passed, it is with expectation that we await the necessary guidelines to start implementing the strategies, through activities of animation of the partnership and opening of competitions for applications to financing”, announced Vicentina.
