DarkoDarko is the name that follows the House of the People of St. Stephen. The solo project, which marks the return of Zé Manel (former Fingertips vocalist) to music, takes to the CPSE stage on March 5th at 22 pm.

Darko – a project in which Zé Manel asserts himself as «composer, performer and lyricist» – will present his EP “Prelude”, which precedes the second album of originals, to be released in April 2016.

«To the success of the songs “Crying Out” and “We were we” is joined by the composition “Don't tell me” which has more than 1.5 million views on youtube and also themes like “Bestie” which includes Emmy's appearances Curl and Mikkel Solnado,” says the CPSE.

About the musician:

Zé Manuel began, from an early age, to see music as a form of expression. Self-taught, at age nine, he won an RFM hobby singing the song “Thank You” by Alanis Morissette, having had the opportunity to meet her in person. At age 11, as the winner of a national talent competition, he traveled to London, meeting Robbie Williams.

At just 13 years old, he formed Fingertips, a band in which he was vocalist and lyricist, for eight years. During this period, he secured the first parts of concerts by Queen, George Michael, Nelly Furtado and The Coors.

He was also present at Rock in Rio and at the Vilar de Mouros Festival. In March 2011, he presented the first single from the Darko project, on national radio, starting a new creative phase in which the musician shows himself in a more mature and introspective way. “Define Joy” marks his return with guests such as Miguel Stanley and Sandra Celas.

At the same time, Zé Manel is a founding partner of the Portuguese Association of Missing Children, having also edited the novel “Inquietude” (2009). He is a broker of Central Models.
