Today, January 15th, the Silves City Council hosts a meeting of the Association of Portuguese Wine Municipalities (AMPV), open to all partners of this institution, sector agents and municipalities in the region. The meeting starts at 14:30 pm, at the Municipal Chamber auditorium, located in the Paços de Concelho building.
Present AMPV's plan of activities, as well as the approach to new forms of networking and the exchange of information on projects and initiatives that sector entities and municipalities in this region are developing in the context of promoting wine and its territories are the main topics on the agenda.
In this way, stresses the City Council of Silves, the aim is to “bring together municipalities, institutions and agents/producers linked to viticulture, in order to better make known their objectives and activities and gather information on initiatives that are being developed in the region. ».
Silves is the Algarve municipality with the largest number of wine producers, and initiatives have been developed to promote this sector and publicize the territory through the wine product, namely with the creation of the “Vinhos de Silves” brand.
