A 75 meter long king cake will be distributed free of charge to the population tomorrow, Wednesday, at 17 pm, at Praça da República de Loulé.
This initiative of the Loulé Chamber, in partnership with the LouléDoce pastry shop, will serve to celebrate the Three Kings Day.
To make the cake that will be served, 70 kg of flour, 18 kg of sugar, 1 kg of salt, 24 dozen eggs, 14 kg of margarine, 55 kg of candied fruit, 7 kg of sultanas, 9 kg of almonds, 6 kg of peanuts, 6 kg of walnuts, 6 kg of dried fig and various flavors», according to the Loulé Council.
In addition to the distribution of the cake, the event will feature musical entertainment, by Lígia Pereira, gospel singer born in Quarteira.
