Cork crib_Alzira Cabrita(1)A traditional cork crib, by the artisan Alzira Cabrita, will be on display from December 7th and January 7th in the building adjacent to the João de Deus Museum House (CMJD), in São Bartolomeu de Messines.

There are more than a dozen pieces on display, from the boy's adoration to the arrival of the Reis Magos, passing through the representation of monuments and everyday scenes.

The crib was donated to the Casa Museu over a decade ago, and its pieces were restored by Horácio Campos Trindade, former collaborator of the now closed Cork Museum at Fábrica do Inglês.

The cork crib can be seen from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 am to 13:00 pm and from 14:30 pm to 18:30 pm. Admission is free.
