The Parish of Portimão, in a gesture of solidarity and sharing, will deliver 500 Christmas hampers to people with few economic resources in the parish, at a solidarity lunch, which will be held tomorrow, December 22, at the Humanitarian Association of Firemen Volunteers of Portimão, starting at 13pm.
This initiative promoted by the Parish Council of Portimão is supported by entities linked to local commerce that contribute to the supply of food.
Lunch will be served by a group of volunteer citizens and by the Scouts of Portimão.
“At a time when families gather, the spirit of solidarity and mutual help is reborn, through gestures like this”, stresses the Parish Council.
