A round «Liberdade», by Sérgio Godinho, arrives at the Municipal Auditorium of Olhão on the night of November 21, Saturday, at 21 pm. An opportunity to revisit more than four decades of the singer's songs, with room also for some news.
"Freedom is of all the words and concepts I use in my life, and by drag in the songs, the one I care for the most and defend the most, the one that gives the north its compass." The phrase is by Sérgio Godinho and indicates what can be seen in Liberdade – from a song composed in 1974 and published in the same year on the album Point blank, the singer and composer reviews, through his repertoire, the experience of democratic Portugal.
Between reinterpretations and reproductions, Sérgio Godinho approaches almost all of his vast discography: I've Played Boxing, Fire Photos, Apple With Animal, What Strength Is That ou Blocked Access are, among others, songs present.
But there is still room for novelty, for the unpublished, or even for the discovery of Na Rua António Maria, a theme by Zeca Afonso that has never been published before and which Sérgio Godinho brings to Freedom, literally, from memory.
