The Rallye Casinos do Algarve will take place on the 7th and 8th of November on the roads and dirt tracks of the municipalities of Loulé and São Brás de Alportel, in the year in which the premier event of the Clube Automóvel do Algarve returns to the National Championship. Rally, being the race that ends the season.
«Twenty years later, the main Algarve rally race returns to dirt floors, representing a move to the Loulé and S. Brás area. The knowledge of the terrain and the accumulated experience of Clube Automóvel do Algarve made it possible to mount a very balanced race with appealing floors for rallying, as demonstrated by the WRC in Algarve», illustrated the Câmara de Loulé, in a press release.
The nerve center of the event will be in Loulé, where the Secretariat and the Park of Departure are located, in Praça da República, and the assistance located in Parque Bonnet de Loulé. The rally, with 120 timed km, will be disputed in two days, in the first of which there will be a double round through the sections in the Municipality of S.Brás de Alportel (totaling 36 km). There will also be a symbolic departure ceremony in the center of São Brás.
On the second day, the squad heads to the mountains of the Municipality of Loulé. In order to streamline assistance and reduce distances, the Assistance Park will be in Cortelha, where there will also be a public area. The specials of Ameixial (17,79 km) and Salir (22,85 km) are the main dish. The rally ends with the podium ceremony scheduled for 15 pm, in the center of Loulé.
The Rallye Casinos do Algarve is also eligible for the FPAK South Rally Championship. «Normally unable to follow the CNR, the “Southern Regional” squad only disputes 5 Special Events, covering 72,54 km of time trial, however it will pass by all the sections of the rally», explained the Loulé local authority.
The Rallye Casinos do Algarve is once again associated with Loulé, the European capital of Sport and is sponsored by Solverde – Casinos do Algarve, Acrimolde, Hydraplan and the support of the Algarve Tourism Region and the Chambers of Loulé and São Brás de Alportel.
