The team of journalists from the program on gastronomy and tourism “A cuerpo de rey”, one of the hits of the Spanish radio station Cadena Cope Extremadura, is back in Portugal at the invitation of the Algarve Tourism Region (RTA) to record three new editions specials in Lagos, Portimão and Silves.

The visit is accompanied by the local mayors and the president of the RTA, and includes a visit to the church of Santo António, the fort Ponta da Bandeira and the Ciência Viva Center in Lagos, where gastronomy is also present, with fish fresh, seafood and a good view of the riverfront.

This is followed by a visit to the Portimão Museum, a tasting of regional wines and a tasting of Algarve snacks. Finally, there is the opportunity to visit the Archeology Museum, the Castle and the Cathedral of Silves, in addition to the gastronomy of the mountains and barrocal, wines and sweets.

«We planned a route through the western Algarve so that Spanish journalists could enjoy the culture and gastronomy of this area of ​​the region, and we included tastings of traditional flavors from the sea to the mountains», says President Desidério Silva.

This is the fifth visit to familiarize the Badajoz station with the tourist destination, organized by the RTA in partnership with the municipalities of Lagos, Portimão and Silves.

In 2012, the Cadena Cope team was in Albufeira, in 2013 in São Brás de Alportel, Olhão and Tavira, and in 2014, first in Aljezur, Vila do Bispo and Monchique, and then in Alcoutim, Castro Marim and Vila Real de Saint Anthony.

Broadcasts of the program «A cuerpo de rey» are broadcast to thousands of listeners in Extremadura, with more than one million inhabitants, and this autonomous community is one of RTA's promotional bets on the Spanish market, which it held between January and July. close to 450 thousand overnight stays in the Algarve.
