Prominent personalities of the Iberian culture will be in Olhão, as part of the first edition of the meeting «Poesia a Sul», which will be spread over several places in the city, from the 1st to the 17th of October.
This will be the biggest event of its kind in the South of Lisbon and its curator is the poet from Olhano, Fernando Cabrita. The organization is by the City Council.
Among the many guests are Manuel Alegre, Amadeu Batista, Teresa Rita Lopes, Fernando Esteves Pinto and Manuel Moya.
In addition to poetry, the meeting also includes exhibitions, street entertainment, debates, music, book presentations and poem declamation sessions.
