The victory of the Algarve, despite being pulled in irons, turned out to be entirely jysta, as José Augusto's team dominated the match and even opened the scoring, through Fabrício (59 minutes).

The white and blue tie came in the 85th minute, from a penalty, for an alleged foul committed by Marcel on André Silva. The same André Silva was in charge of marking the foul and established the tie (1-1).

However, Portimonense did not give up and the winning goal would come at the close of the match.

In this opening day of the II Liga 2015/2016 season, Portimonense was the only one of the Algarve teams to win, after the tie in the Olhanense, with Benfica B (1-1), And Farense's defeat, with Academico de Viseu, by 1-0.
