The B_Cultural Festival, presented as a «popular/cultural event, with modern programming», will have its first edition on the 14th and 15th of August, in Bordeira (Faro), with music, dance, theater, video and film shows.
The event also features several daytime activities such as exhibitions, workshops, children's entertainment and traditional games.
The highlight of the event is the tribute to the construction site and poet José das Neves Moleiro, recently deceased, «an extremely important figure for the cultural development of Bordeira in recent decades».
With its organization based on partnerships, this festival has the objective of «local development and dynamism», as well as «contributing to the conservation and dissemination of the cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible, of Bordeira», explains the organization.
"It was born with the desire to make known or remind others, the arts and the respective local artists who, for a long time, have developed unique works in the most diverse forms of artistic expression", they add.
To complement and enrich the festival, artists from across the region are invited to present their work and shows and exchange experiences and knowledge with the population and local artists.
OB Cultural is organized in partnership, by the association “Valoriz'arte”, headquartered in Bordeira, which has been working for the enhancement, dynamism, support and dissemination of the local cultural heritage, and by the Motard Group “Os Indomáveis”, which already exists a few years it promotes the dynamism of the place, especially in the sociocultural and solidarity field.
The Festival also counts on the production and programming support of Mauro Amaral, musician, filmmaker and event organizer/programmer.
The Festival B Cultural will take place in Bordeira, on Rua José Ferreiro Pai, in the party grounds. The event will take place in an entirely natural space, open air and with free entrance.
Festival B Cultural also has the support of the following partners: Cineclube de Faro, Unite, Te-Atrito, Philharmonic Association of Faro, Paper Sardine, FM Street and Sul Informação.
